Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I moved back home for a month for winter break, and I've been a little busy (or lazy, it's all perspective). But now I've got a couple dreams that I'd like to share.
Dream 1
About a week ago, I had a dream where I re-lived my first day of Finals Week. I walked across campus in the morning, it was about 40 degrees out, and when I got to the building of my first exam, I realized how badly I needed to use the restroom. I remember having little time to go, but it was a necessity. When I entered the bathroom, there were 5 urinals, all tightly packed next to each other, needless to say, things got awkward.
I finished up, and headed to class. Most of the seats were taken, and for some reason, I moved this big red coat out of a chair I wanted, and sat there. I got this sinking feeling, that I was very under-prepared for the test, and started freaking out. After about 5 minutes of scrambling for notes and trying to absorb as much information as I could, this girl came up to me and asked why i moved her coat and why i'm sitting in her seat. I've met this girl before. The day I moved into my dorm (freshman year) I hopped into the elevator with my stuff, and she came in after me. She looked vaguely like a shorter Hayden Panettiere.
Anyways, I told her I needed a seat, and she was fine with that, and sat down next to me. As we sat there, the professor came in and announced she didn't feel like doing an exam, so she put in some movie, and we all watched that, instead. As we watched the movie, we talked about stuff, and shortly into the film, she rested her head on my shoulder. Pretty basic, but I'm going to have to say it was a good dream.
Dream 2
This is actually the first dream I have had the took place in my 'new' home. We've lived here for about 5(6?) years, and until last night, I'd never dreamt about this house. Well it was raining pretty hard, and the streets had 4 feet of standing water on them. Basically, all of the roads were converted to rivers, and it was awesome. I really wanted Wendy's, so I threw on some swim trunks and goggles, and swam downtown to get myself a fresh, juicy burger.
I remember swimming past people in canoes, and cars that were immobilized by the water. When I got to Wendy's, I was waiting in the drive-thru (swim-thru in this case) and a worker threw open a side door, resulting in a massive wave, and telling me that I couldn't use the drive-thru because I wasn't piloting a vehicle. So, despite not having shoes or a shirt, I walked in, and ordered a Baconator. This was when I realized that I didnt have my wallet on me. So I cancled my order, and swam back to the house.
As I was swimming upstream, my brother called from downstairs and woke me up.

Dream Blog Entry #11
I've been having trouble remembering my dreams lately. This is probably because this past week was finals week at school, and on top of my mind being busy every conscious moment, I haven't been sleeping well. Most of my memorable dreams occur during my first REM cycle, and the past 4-5 nights, I've woken up every 45-60 minutes. So whatever portions of dreams I remember, are lost to the 5-8 segments of interrupted sleep. Luckily for me, two nights ago, I had a strangely vivid dream, and I've remembered enough to share.
I was with 2 other people, they were friends, and I knew them outside of the dream, but time has collected their names. We were traveling through some tropical forest, that had numerous rivers running through it like the veins on the back of your hand. As we trekked through this jungle, I marveled at the life in the waters, and we spent a lot of time in the water, since we had to cross a river every 40 feet.
I remember seeing these weird fish, that were about a foot long, fat like a salmon, and had black and orange vertical stripes lining their backs. I also remember finding and playing with tiger cubs, and seeing strange crane-like birds that also had the tiger stripes. Amongst the wildlife that weren't disguised as a tiger, there were frogs, snakes, monkeys, and a crocodile. After crossing probably 12 rivers, we reached the abrupt end of the jungle, which bordered a very large mass of water. In the distance we could see our boat, which looked as if it was assembled with random garbage, consisting of 50 gallon plastic barrels, wood, aluminum siding/roofing, and bright orange meshed fencing used to box off construction sites.
The land on the way to our boat was too overgrown to traverse, so we decided to wade in the waters along the shore, to get to our ship as fast as possible. I was maybe 10 feet behind my 2 friends, and I spotted a huge salt water crocodile stalking them. I told them to get out of the water, and my friend farthest from shore punched the croc right in the nose as he turned to run. Attempting to distract the reptile, I splashed water at it, and made noise. This did nothing, and the croc lept from the water and right before my friend got "Nommed", I awoke to my brother leaving for school.

Guest Post #1: Jordan - Double Down
Mike asked me to make a guest appearance on his blog here to describe not one, but two dreams i had last night.
dream 1:
in typical Inception fashion, the beginning of my dream is a mystery. somehow, i ended up in the most beautiful south american ocean village i've ever seen. i was on some sort of vacation with two people my imagination had created. the village sat right on the beach under the shadow of a long row of cliffs and rock formations. surrounded by lush green rainforest on all sides. a plane had to be taken to reach this tropical paradise. i know this because the new mayor or town leader was crooked, and brought in a team of mercenaries to dispose of a large faction of rebels hiding in the nearby cliffs. i was apparently there for some sort of sail boat race. my boat, the american was flawless. a red stained wood deck with full living quarters encased with a pearl white hull. during the race my fellow travelers and i decided we weren't having fun, so we escaped into a small cove where no one would find us. we went ashore and found a large cavern that opened into an entire cave system. we were met by the rebels, who asked for our help fighting the new mayor and his mercenaries. the cave, which had an awesome portuguese name that basically meant something along the lines of "the labyrinth", had been populated by mayans or incans before their extermination, and they imbued it with magical characteristics. glowing rocks, paths that changed. in the main cavern there was a constantly changing map made of stones and sand. i awoke shortly after that point, i'm not quite sure what happened in the village, but i feel as though we won.
dream 2:
this one's a little weird. again, inception-style, don't remember the beginning of the dream. and again, i was on vacation with strangers. we were at some sort of ancient arena where warriors had once fought centuries ago. it seemed to be somewhere arid, and most definitely in another country. all at once, there was an immense quake, and myself along with maybe a dozen or so other people were left standing in some sort of run down building that was a part of the arena itself. across the arena was another building, and a small group seemed to think this building was safe. when they ran out into the arena, which had pillars and barriers scattered throughout, several demonic man-like beings appeared and slaughtered them. that was evidence enough that we were all in danger, and needed to find some sort of escape. we decided to stay in the building we were already in and try to explore more. we eventually found our way to an armory of sorts, and picked out weapons consisting of swords, axes, hammers, and knives, along with armor. we fought off the hordes of demonic beings that attacked us again and again. there seemed to only be 6 or 7 "models" of these demons, and they were just being respawned. there was one particular demon that always seemed to find me specifically and taunt me. for some reason our cars were still present, and i recall several of them exploding somehow. the onslaught finally ceased, and i convinced several members of the group we needed to leave the arena entirely. at that point i woke up, immediately texted mike about these dreams, and tried to return to sleep to hopefully drop back into the arena dream, but i remember nothing from my third REM session.
